How to Remove Dirt Stains from Your Carpeting

Dirt is like thousands of little blades that cut carpet fibers. When you walk across a dirty carpet, you grind sharp dirt particles against the yarn, making tiny nicks in the fibers. All that fuzz mixed in with the dirt in your vacuum cleaner bags is your beautiful carpet headed out the door one bag at a time. When dirt scratches the fibers, it dulls the sheen, which is why high-traffic areas appear duller than the rest of the carpet. • Detergent Cleaning Solution 
• Dry Baking Powder 
• Dry Powder Cleaner 
• White Vinegar 
• Clean White Towels 
• White Paper Towels

Method One for Cleaning

Follow these tips to keep your carpet as dirt-free as possible:

1. SCRAPE or blot up excess dirt
2. APPLY detergent solution onto a damp towel
3. BLOT don't rub 
4. APPLY white vinegar (undiluted) using a damp towel
5. BLOT don't rub
6. APPLY water with a damp sponge 
7. BLOT to finish with a weighted pad of paper towels

Method Two for Cleaning

If the steps above did not get rid of all the dirt, try the following:

• SCRAPE or blot up excess dirt
• APPLY dry baking soda
• SCRAPE & VACUUM
• APPLY water using a damp sponge to rinse remaining baking soda
• BLOT don't rub 
• APPLY detergent solution onto a damp towel
• RINSE with water as above 
• BLOT don't rub to dry well
• APPLY dry powder cleaner 
• VACUUM
